have you ever.....

Have you ever felt alone in a world full of people?
Have you ever tried to scream through a thick steel wall?
If a tree falls in the forest and there's no one there to see it,
Does it ever really fall after all?

Have you ever felt afraid peering down from a high rise?
Have you ever tried to see through a concrete wall?
If a bird dies in the country and there's nothing left to bury,
Does it ever really die after all?

Have you ever felt sorrow blowing out birthday candles?
Have you ever tried to listen through a sound proof wall?
If a wolf cries in the desert and there's no one there to hear it,
Does it ever really cry after all?

Have you ever felt the heat from a flameless fire?
Have you ever felt protected by an unseen wall?
Even though you may not see Him, and you may not even hear Him,
Doesn't mean He hasn't been here through it all.

Did you write these poems yourself?

They are very good, so much to think about in them.
Thanks for sharing.
love ya Granny

Thank you for the compliment! Yes, I write them on my own. Usually it starts with a few lines stuck in my head - I grab some paper and in about 10-15 minutes I am finished. I will read over it a few times and tweak it; but I will never change it once the sun has gone down on it. I must say this is one of my more complex because nothing (except the last verse) is meant as it is written. I can "translate" next Saturday if you're interested, just remind me?
