If you see the tears pouring from my eyes,
Remind me of the One that pours rain from the skies.
If you see a frown drawn on my lips,
Remind me of the sunsets drawn by His fingertips.
If you see my eyes gazing far into an abyss,
Remind me of the One who longs for all of us to be His.
If you see a lonely tear gently fall down my cheek,
Remind me of the One who died to save me.
If you and I happen to pass each other by,
And you notice I happen to cry,
Please know it is not out of doubt, worry or fear,
It's simply because I'm not in control down here.
