A True Friend

Who do you call when the going gets tough,
Maybe when life's bumps are a little too rough,
To dry your tears as they stream down your face,
Or gladly step in to stand in your place,
At 3am just to talk,
To stroll in house shoes around the block,
To reconnect after years have passed,
To share a smile, or spread a laugh,
To bail you out without asking why,
To lend a shoulder when you need to cry,
To comfort your broken heart,
To help you get a brand new start,
For correction when you're wrong,
When you are weak, He is strong...
When everything else has passed away,
Only a True Friend will remain.
